'Gomer Waterer' is a dense evergreen shrub to 2m tall, with leathery, dark green leaves and rounded trusses of fragrant, funnel-shaped white flowers, 8cm wide, tinged mauve-pink around the edges, and blotched with greenish-yellow in late spring and early summer

Grow in moist but well-drained, leafy, humus-rich acid soil in part shade with shelter; sun, heat and wind tolerant if soil remains reliably moist; see rhododendron cultivation
